Morag is an experienced therapist who has studied bodywork in its many forms, and practised as a  Massage Therapist since 2000. Originally with a background in Psychology (MA hons) and continuing to study research methods (MSc, PhD in progress) Morag continues to combine academic research and clinical practice.

Since setting up in private practice Morag has gained additional qualifications in On-Site Acupressure Massage and Clinical Aromatherapy among others and has been studying myofascial therapy since 2003.

Morag has trained with John F Barnes (USA), Ruth Duncan and Mary Cunningham (UK) in Myofascial Release (MFR) and integrated Myofascial Therapy (iMFT).  Morag now assists with the iMFT seminars in London , York and Glasgow .

Morag has also trained in Thought Field Therapy (TFT) with the Norwell Clinic, Scotland .  TFT is a form of energy psychology which uses simple tapping of meridian points to significantly reduce anxiety and relieve fears or phobias within short sessions.  The owners of the Norwell Clinic have four years of experience training key workers and others to use TFT in drug and alcohol addiction services.

Morag holds a Researcher Development Award from the Department of Health (Research Capacity Development) and currently holds the position of Research Fellow with the University of York .  She is involved with a project exploring homeopathy as an alternative treatment for ADHD and teaches introductory courses on complementary medicine to the Hull York Medical Students.
